Your Journey to Digital Sovereignty in 3 Simple Steps

Building a private cloud can seem complex, but it boils down to three core components working in harmony. We make the first and most crucial step simple and powerful.

01

The Foundation (The Server)

This is the heart of your cloud a dedicated, bare-metal server that provides the raw power. It's the physical engine of CPU, RAM, and storage that belongs 100% to you. This is what ServerMO provides.

02

The Architect (The Hypervisor)

This is the powerful software layer (like Proxmox, VMware ESXi, or Hyper-V) that you install on the server. It acts as the "brain," allowing you to slice your server's resources into multiple virtual machines (VMs).

03

The Creation (The Virtual Machines)

These are the end result your individual virtual servers. Each VM runs its own operating system and applications, acting as an independent entity. This is where your websites, applications, and services live.

More Than Just Specs: What Really Powers a Virtualization Server?

Choosing the right server isn't about finding the biggest numbers. It's about understanding how each component contributes to a flawless virtualization experience.

CPU Cores: Your Digital Workforce

Think of CPU cores as employees in a workshop. The more cores you have, the more tasks (Virtual Machines) you can run simultaneously without any slowdown. ServerMO's AMD EPYC™ and Intel® Xeon® servers are packed with cores, ready to power your entire workload.

RAM: Your Workspace

RAM is the active workspace available to your employees. The more RAM you have, the larger and more complex the tasks your VMs can handle. Insufficient RAM is the #1 cause of poor VM performance, so we offer generous allocations for every server.

NVMe Storage: Your Data Superhighway

This is where your VMs and their data live. NVMe SSDs are the super-fast highways that allow your data to move instantly. With NVMe, your virtual machines boot in seconds, applications load instantly, and databases respond without delay.

Choose Your Virtualization Platform

ServerMO's bare-metal servers are a blank canvas, giving you the freedom to install and manage the industry's leading virtualization platforms. Our hardware is fully compatible with all major hypervisors. Here are some popular choices:

The Next Evolution: Powering Your Containerized Workloads

While VMs provide excellent isolation by virtualizing hardware, a new revolution has taken over modern development: containerization. ServerMO's high-performance hardware is the perfect foundation to run and scale your containerized applications.

What is Containerization? A Lightweight Revolution

Think of it this way: If a Virtual Machine is like a separate house with its own infrastructure, a container is like a modern apartment in a single, efficient building.

Containers virtualize the operating system, allowing multiple applications to run in isolated "containers" on a single OS kernel. This makes them incredibly lightweight, fast, and portable. Applications start in milliseconds, and what works on your laptop will work exactly the same in production.

Unlock Agility: Common Use Cases for Containers

Deploying on ServerMO gives you the power to build and scale modern applications.

Microservices Architecture

Break down your large application into smaller, independent microservices. With containers, you can deploy, update, and scale each service separately, leading to faster development cycles and greater resilience.

CI/CD & DevOps Automation

Automate your entire development pipeline. Use containers to create consistent and reproducible environments for building, testing, and deploying your code, dramatically speeding up your time-to-market.

Isolated Developer Sandboxes

Give every developer on your team a clean, identical environment that mirrors production. This eliminates the "it works on my machine" problem and streamlines collaboration.

Your Containerization Toolkit

Our servers are compatible with the entire cloud-native ecosystem. Build your stack using the industry's most popular and powerful tools.

docker logo

Docker

The world's leading software containerization platform. Docker makes it easy to package your applications and dependencies into a portable container that can run anywhere.

Kubernetes logo

Kubernetes (K8s)

The de-facto standard for container orchestration. Kubernetes automates the deployment, scaling, and management of your containerized applications, making it possible to manage complex applications at scale.

podman logo

Podman

A popular and secure daemonless container engine. Podman provides a Docker-compatible command line and enhanced security, making it a great choice for security-conscious environments.

portainer logo

Portainer

A powerful, open-source management UI for containers. Portainer gives you a simple and intuitive graphical interface to manage your Docker and Kubernetes environments.

Dedicated Server FAQs

What level of support does ServerMO provide?

ServerMO provides 24/7 support for our hardware, network, and data center infrastructure. You manage your operating system, hypervisor, and VMs, and we ensure the underlying platform is always running at peak performance.

Can I install any hypervisor I want?

Absolutely. You get full root access to your bare-metal server. You are free to install and configure Proxmox, VMware ESXi (including the free version), Microsoft Hyper-V, XCP-ng, or any other virtualization platform you prefer.

How is this more secure than a public cloud?

In a dedicated private cloud, your applications are physically isolated on hardware that is 100% yours. This eliminates the risks associated with multi-tenancy (sharing resources with other users), giving you a fundamentally more secure foundation.

Can I create a high-availability cluster?

Yes. You can rent multiple servers from us and configure them in a high-availability (HA) or failover cluster using the features within your chosen hypervisor, like Proxmox HA Cluster or VMware vSphere. Contact our team to discuss your multi-server requirements.

Should I use Containers or Virtual Machines (VMs)?

It depends on your needs. VMs provide strong security and isolation by virtualizing the entire hardware stack. Containers offer speed and efficiency by sharing the host OS kernel. The most common professional approach is to use both: run your containers inside VMs. This gives you the security and management features of a VM, with the agility and portability of containers. ServerMO's platform is perfect for both approaches.

How do I install Docker or Kubernetes on a ServerMO server?

You get full root access to your server, so you have complete freedom. You can install a standard Linux distribution like Ubuntu or CentOS, and then follow the official documentation to install Docker Engine. For Kubernetes, you can use tools like kubeadm to bootstrap a cluster or use lightweight distributions like K3s or MicroK8s.

Can I run Docker inside a Proxmox or VMware VM?

Yes, absolutely. This is a very powerful and common practice. It allows you to use your hypervisor's management tools (like snapshots, backups, and firewalls) for your container workloads while keeping different projects or clients securely isolated from each other in separate VMs.

What is the best server configuration for a Kubernetes cluster?

A robust Kubernetes cluster typically consists of multiple servers (nodes). For worker nodes, we recommend servers with a high CPU core count to run many pods, and plenty of RAM. For control plane (master) nodes, RAM and fast storage are key. Our team can help you design a custom multi-server setup for your cluster. Please contact our sales experts to discuss your requirements.

Does ServerMO provide support for my Docker applications?

Our 24/7 support covers the hardware (CPU, RAM, etc.) and the network infrastructure to ensure your server has maximum uptime. You are responsible for the installation, configuration, and management of any software you install, including your operating system, Docker, Kubernetes, and your own applications. We provide the rock-solid foundation for you to build on.
